Does Federalism Always Work?
- Sadly, no, federalism doesn't always work. Communications can be lost, and the federal government can't get to the local government fast enough. Federalism fails when the government doesn't always work together, put their people first, or aren't fast enough.
- Despite those few times when Federalism isn't ideal, it works great within the government. The following graph describes how the country, state, and local governments works together! Each government has things to take care of on their own, but sometimes they'll work together.
- The link below is a good example of federalism, because they are working together to make this amendment that they thought was constitutional, but then it was ruled unconstitutional.
